The green wool Ike jacket has “U.S.” and Adjutant General disks on the collar. On the right shoulder is the patch of the Antilles Department, while the left shoulder carries the patch of the Eighth Army. On the upper left breast are the individual ribbons for the Philippine Liberation Medal with a campaign star; the World War II Victory Medal; and the American Defense Medal. Below these ribbons is a three place pin back ribbon bar with the ribbons for the Pacific Campaign Medal with a campaign star; the American Campaign Medal; and the U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal. The lower left sleeve bears five overseas service chevrons as well as a single enlistment chevron. The manufacturer tag remains present in the interior pocket, with the jacket marked as a size 36 Short. Found within a pocket of the jacket were handwritten notes identifying the owner of the jacket as Nofrio Mauro, with notations regarding his World War II service, including dates of service from October of 1942 to January of 1946, and notations of “Subic Bay” and “Luzon, P.I.”. On the upper right breast is the “Ruptured Duck” honorable discharge insignia. The jacket has a few small scattered holes, but overall the jacket is in very good condition.
