WWII USAAF Staff Sgt Tunic with Bullion Patches

The Model 1940 four pocket tunic has screw back “U.S.” and Army Air Force disks. The shoulders have bullion, theater made, patches for the Army Air Force and the China Burma India Theater. Both sleeve display the wool rank chevrons of a Staff Sergeant. On the lower left sleeve has three bullion overseas chevrons as well as a single bullion enlistment chevron. The upper right breast carries the “Ruptured Duck” honorable discharge insignia. On the upper left breast is a full size, sterling silver, clutch back Air Crew wing. Below the wing is the ribbon for the American Defense Medal, and below this is a three place ribbon bar with the ribbons for the American Campaign Medal; the Pacific Campaign Medal; and the World War II Victory Medal. The contractor tag remains inside of the lower pocket. The tunic interior has the laundry mark of “S 1731”. The tunic is quite clean,without holes or damage and in overall very good condition.
