WWII 42nd Division Infantry Major Theater Made Ike Jacket

The jacket was privately tailored and appears to have been British made. The collar bears “U.S.” and infantry officer insignia, while the shoulders have the pin back insignia of a Major. The left shoulder sleeve has the patch of the 42nd Infantry Division. On the upper left breast is a three place plastic covered ribbon bar with the ribbons for the American Campaign Medal; the Army Commendation Ribbon; and the World War II Occupation Medal. The jacket is a small size, without interior labels or markings. The front pocket points have snap closures, with the base of the snaps missing on each pocket. The rear of the jacket has a hole that is approximately 1/2 of an inch long, with a few additional small holes near it, as well as a small hole on the back of the collar.
