The central section bears the distinctive insignia of the unit, flanked by the crest of Ansbach, Germany on one side and on the other an impressive color image of a self propelled artillery piece. The lid finial is also a self propelled gun. The base is the naked lady lithopane. The bottom of the stein has an “X” shaped crack that has darkened. However, the porcelain bottom of the stein is intact and there is nothing loose or incomplete about the base.
