The ship’s clock is within a Bakelite case and it measures approximately 5-3/4 inches in diameter. The clock is in working condition and it includes the brass winding key. The face of the clock has a pale gold tone, with the face exhibiting some wear from age. The Bakelite case shows some scuffs and age, but overall the clock is in very good working condition. The Chelsea Clock Company remains in business to this day, and during World War II the company was awarded the “E” Production Pennant for its production of clocks that were used in U.S. Navy ships, submarines, and aircraft.
