WW2 Japanese Combat Bayonet with Leather Frog. Type 30 bayonet with straight crossguard and rectangular pommel. Two rivets on contoured wrap-around wood grips. Blade ricasso marked with the maker logo for Toyada Automatic Loom Works (TALW) Arsenal (aka: Toyada Jido Shokki Seisakusho Arsenal). Blued unfullered blade appears to be in decent condition. Metal scabbard has a bit of wear and dent near lower portion of scabbard, however, blade fits in scabbard fine. Overall blade length approximately 15 3/4 inches. Worn condition. Additional Notes: The Japanese Type 30 bayonet was a bayonet designed for the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) to be used with the Arisaka Type 30 Rifle and was later used on the Type 38 and Type 99 rifles and Types 96 and 99 light machine guns. Some 8.4 million were produced, and it remained in front-line use from the Russo-Japanese War to the end of WW2.
